What the certificate means for a lodge

The certificate has been issued by an independent body after assessing the property against its own criteria. That body also checks that the property continues to meet them. Each scheme assesses something different, from energy and water to waste and cooperation with local people, and the name of the certificate is shown on the listing card and in the listing for each property.

Lodges without an independent certificate
